.passthrough() keeps x-* extension keys legal — they are
retained and never produce unknown-key warnings, exactly as v1.
The type is annotated z.ZodObject<any> deliberately: the fully-inferred type
of the composed schema (a discriminated union of ten extended layer bodies
inside a record inside the envelope) overflows TypeScript’s serialization
buffer (TS7056), the same reason MapBlockSchema carries the same
annotation.
